In addition to emphasizing critical thinking skills across our curriculum, our department offers a dedicated course in critical thinking. We maintain a tutorial program aimed at maximizing student success in critical thinking and logic. Philosophy is by its nature intellectually pluralistic and inclusive. The philosophical method consists in carefully considering the broadest available plurality of perspectives. Of course, not every view stands up to critical evaluation equally well. This does not render philosophy exclusive of such views. To the contrary, seriously mistaken views sometimes retain important places in the philosophical curriculum as much can be learned from how philosophical views can go wrong. Philosophy is pluralis
